The research methodology

Overall, more than 300 Latvian companies' financial performance and their management risks in 2010 were evaluated. Companies in the top 101 are sorted according to one single individual financial index, for instance, turnover or profit. In order to better reflect the current corporate business value in the respective sectors growth potential and risk profile assessment of similar public enterprises have been taken into account.

Corporate governance risks with a specially designed methodology were evaluated by the Stock exchange “NASDAQ OMX Riga”. These risks and the transparency of the current business model are a part of every company's value, and in this top 101 their impact on the assessment of individual companies was up to 15%.
